About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Substation Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and engineering of high-voltage substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design HV/MV substations (AIS & GIS) from concept through detailed design
- Prepare single line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Develop protection & control philosophies
- Perform primary and secondary design calculations
- Coordinate with civil, protection, and commissioning teams
- Review vendor drawings and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and local utility standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 38 years of experience in substation design (132kV and above preferred)
- Strong knowledge of protection & control systems
- Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, or similar
- Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards
