Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short-term (weekly, monthly) and long-term mine plans aligned with production targets
• Ensure all planning activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate closely with geology, survey, and operations teams to integrate accurate data into planning processes
• Monitor mining performance and reconcile actual production against planned targets
• Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities, providing practical and cost-effective solutions
• Generate detailed reports, schedules, and forecasts for management review and decision-making
• Optimize pit designs, haul road layouts, and equipment utilization to enhance efficiency
• Support budgeting processes and contribute to life-of-mine (LOM) planning

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in open-pit mining, with a strong focus on mine planning
• Proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswik, Surpac, MineSched, or similar
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience in remote or international mining operations, preferably within West Africa
• Solid understanding of drill and blast techniques, as well as load and haul operations

Working Conditions

• Site-based role located in Mali
• Rotation schedule: 6 weeks on-site followed by 3 weeks off
• Camp accommodation and meals provided
