Job Summary
Our client in Paarl, a manufacturing concern within the Food Industry, is looking for an Assistant Packing Manager to join their team. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Manage picking, packing and inventory accuracy Ensure stock is handled correctly Ensure orders are picked and processed accurately and on time Assist the Packing Manager on verifying the ready to pack totals at the beginning and end of each shift Timeous and proactive reporting of faults or maintenance Ensure that labels are printed, checked and available on time Assist Packing Manager with line clearances and follow up on metal checks Ensure that all inserts issued to the shifts must be check and verified as per the insert procedures Ensure all relevant works orders are closed timeously and production reports are completed Adhere to HACCP & AIB standards to ensure accreditation is achieved Attend to staff performance and conduct issues as they arise in an appropriate and acceptable manner Ensure that employees are motivated to perform their duties and managed accordingly Identify training and development needs for warehouse staff Ensure smooth running of the warehouse at all times Manage Health and Safety alongside Packing Manager REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 3-4years experience in a similar role Excellent Communication skills Independent worker Initiative and proactive nature Attention to detail Problem solving skills Decision making ability SALARY R15 000 R20 000 WORKING HOURS Monday Friday 08:00 17:00
