About the Role
FROGG Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled HR & Payroll Officer to join our client in Parow, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing 500 staff payroll, ensuring compliance with South African labor laws, and supporting various HR functions. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Key Responsibilities
- Process 500 payroll (wages and permanents) for all employees accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records.
- Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Maintain employee records and ensure all HR documentation is up-to-date.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires.
- Assist with performance management processes.
- Address employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Support the HR team in handling employee grievances and disciplinary actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related field.
- Certification in HR or Payroll.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and payroll functions.
- Strong knowledge of South African labor laws and payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage, VIP) and MS Office Suite.
