HR & Payroll Officer Parow Cape Town
Our client in Parow Cape Town is looking for a HR & Payroll Officer which will be responsible for 500 staff payroll, managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with South African labor laws, and supporting various HR functions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Min Qualifications and experience needed
- Bachelors degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related field.
- Certification in HR or Payroll
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and payroll functions.
- Strong knowledge of South African labor laws and payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage, VIP) and MS Office Suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Management – Process 500 payroll (wages and permanents) for all employees accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records.
- Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies.
- HR Administration – Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Maintain employee records and ensure all HR documentation is up-to-date.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires.
- Assist with performance management processes.
- Compliance and Reporting
- Employee Relations – Address employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Support the HR team in handling employee grievances and disciplinary actions.
