About the Role
We are seeking a vibrant, confident, and outgoing Receptionist to join our team at Pronel Consultants in Pietermaritzburg. This role goes beyond traditional front-desk duties, and we are looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism, and a customer-first attitude to every interaction. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced food industry environment and take initiative to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and assist all visitors, clients, and staff with a positive and professional attitude
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Coordinate and manage travel arrangements, including flight bookings and itineraries
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining records
- Assist with general office coordination to ensure smooth operations
- Go above and beyond to enhance customer experience and uphold company standards
- Maintain a neat, organized, and professional reception area
Requirements
- Proven experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role (food industry experience is an advantage)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, bubbly, and outgoing personality
- Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve customer complaints effectively
- Experience with booking travel arrangements (including flights)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar systems
