As the IMM Assistant Setter, you will be responsible for controlling plant operations, managing production resources, and ensuring the highest standards of product quality in a safe and efficient manner. Your key responsibilities will include: Production Operations and Control Achieve production targets through optimal resource utilization and application of skills. Ensure operational effectiveness, efficiency, and product quality to meet production schedules. Complete, process, and update all production records and documentation accurately. Maintenance Operations and Control Raise job cards for maintenance work and ensure work permits are in place. Oversee that equipment and work areas are safe, maintained by operators, and comply with housekeeping standards. Compliance and Safety Operate within controls and procedures to maintain operational integrity. Strictly adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, ensuring minimal risks and incidents. Customer Service Identify and resolve problems creatively, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Demonstrate integrity and align solutions with company values. Staff Supervision and Development Collaborate with HR to identify performance objectives, developmental areas, and action plans for staff. Address employee relations matters promptly and fairly. What We Are Looking For Qualifications: Minimum: Matric (Grade 12) Required: L2 Plastic Federation Injection Moulding Certification Advantageous: Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite and job-specific software systems) Experience: Minimum: 3 years of experience in injection moulding (knowledge of tool changing and fault-finding on injection moulding processes) Minimum: 3 years of experience working shifts Technical Skills: Strong understanding of plant production and maintenance practices, processes, and procedures. In-depth knowledge of plastic injection moulding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Behavioral Skills: Proactive with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Flexible and adaptable with excellent planning and organizational skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well under pressure and handle conflict situations effectively. Additional Information Work Environment: The role may require occasional shifts, depending on production schedules and operational needs.
