Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Store Management

  • Open and close the store according to company procedures
  • Ensure the store is fully staffed, stocked, clean, and operational at all times
  • Oversee daily store performance and resolve operational issues quickly
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and customer service

Staff Management & Supervision

  • Manage a team of approximately 15 staff members across two shifts
  • Create and manage staff rosters
  • Supervise senior and junior staff on shift
  • Handle staff discipline, attendance, and performance issues
  • Train new staff and support ongoing development
  • Act as the first point of escalation for staff-related matters

Cash Handling & Sales Control

  • Act as senior cashier when required
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, cash-ups, and daily reconciliations
  • Monitor POS transactions, refunds, discounts, and voids
  • Report discrepancies immediately to management
  • Enforce strict cash control procedures

Administration & Reporting

  • Compile and submit daily and weekly reports to:
    • Procurement Officer (stock usage, shortages, requests)
    • Accountant / Finance (sales, cash-ups, expenses)
  • Maintain accurate records for:
    • Stock received
    • Stock usage
    • Staff attendance
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and on time

Stock & Procurement Support

  • Monitor stock levels daily
  • Submit clear and accurate stock requests to the Procurement Officer
  • Check deliveries against invoices
  • Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately

Working Hours

  • 5 days per week
  • Shift-based:
    • 6 working days
    • 1 day off per week
    • One weekend off a month
  • Must be willing to work weekends, peak periods, and public holidays as required

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Store Manager / Senior Supervisor
  • Proven experience in a takeaway, fast-food, or restaurant environment
  • Experience managing large teams and shift-based staff
  • Strong cash handling and admin skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Trustworthy, organised, and assertive
  • Good communication and basic computer literacy
