About the Role
The Production Manager will oversee daily production activities in Port Shepstone, ensuring quality specifications are met while identifying inefficiencies and implementing corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities to meet quality specifications
- Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
- Monitor product quality and conduct regular checks
- Work Standards, Discipline & Housekeeping:
- Maintain work standards, discipline, and housekeeping practices
- Drive professionalism and accountability among teams
- Occupational Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Conduct safety inspections and implement measures
- Enforce safety protocols and PPE requirements
Requirements
- OHSA Competence: Demonstrated understanding of Safety requirements
- ISO Principles: Basic knowledge of relevant ISO standards
- Technical Background: Understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
- Manufacturing Production Knowledge: Strong knowledge of production systems and workflows
- Policy & SOP Development: Skilled in drafting and implementing operational policies
Qualifications
- 5-10 years’ experience in production management or operations
- Knowledge in logistics, warehouse, and freight sectors
- Strong record in team management and operational improvement
