About the Role

A financial services company in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage daily financial operations and support statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting, reconciliation, and payroll experience to accurately capture financial data, perform reconciliations, and prepare statutory taxes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately capture financial data, including invoices and bank statements, using Pastel Accounting
  • Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, debtors, and creditors
  • Prepare and submit statutory taxes such as VAT and PAYE
  • Handle customer queries related to financial transactions
  • Process journals for income statements and balance sheets
  • Prepare accounting records up to Trial Balance
  • Execute monthly payroll functions on Pastel Payroll
  • Perform other financial duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
  • Own reliable transport
  • Computer literacy in MS Office, Pastel Partner, and Pastel Payroll
