About the Role
The Bedryfsbestuurder: Finansiele Dienste role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for implementing strategic plans to achieve business objectives, drive revenue growth, and improve Financial Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial policies and structures that promote cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement strategies to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth
- Develop and maintain financial policies and structures that promote cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency
- Monitor and report on the performance of the Financial Services department
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry players to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Identify and mitigate credit risks
- Provide support in the management of information systems to enhance client service delivery
- Collaborate with the Regs- and Invorderingsafdeling as well as the bestuur of high-risk clients to ensure that bad debt within the company’s control remains within the company’s control
- Continuously monitor and manage the performance of the debtor book
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives
- Review and update correspondence with lawyers, clients, and internal regulatory representatives
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Monitor productivity and effectiveness to improve the credit process and handle applications in a timely manner
- Develop and refine the credit policy in response to changing environment and legislation
- Motivate and empower the credit team to deliver quality projects and develop their skills
- Identify opportunities to expand existing and new debtors within the company’s budget and risk profile
- Develop new financing products
- Prepare offers for and present them to investors and other external stakeholders
- Support the General Manager with ad-hoc tasks
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance is a requirement; further studies will be advantageous
- Knowledge of the National Credit Act and compliance with regulatory legislation will be an advantage
- Bilingual in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written communication)
- 3-5 years of management experience
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in data analysis will be advantageous
- Previous experience in agricultural financing will be advantageous
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and work processes
- High level of accountability and ownership
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Good knowledge of statistical processes and best practices trends
- Experience in presenting statistical data to management teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
