About the Role
Our client is searching for a Business Analyst to join their team in Pretoria – Hybrid (2-3 days a week at the office) to analyse business needs, define system requirements, and translate them into effective solutions that improve business processes and support system redevelopment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and validate Business Requirement Specifications (BRS), functional and non-functional requirements and end-to-end business processes
- Develop and maintain Functional System Design (FSD) and User Requirement Specification (URS) documents
- Maintain the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) and related artefacts
- Conduct User Interface (UI) and workflow analysis with business teams
- Facilitate review and sign-off of requirements and documentation with product and technical stakeholders
- Review and refine project scope and enforce standard SDLC templates and processes
- Identify process gaps and recommend practical improvement initiatives
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to clarify and communicate requirements
- Support planning and tracking of project deliverables through to release
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary Degree or Diploma
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Business Analyst in a software development environment
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Confluence, Markdown formatted documents,
- Proficiency in Kanban/ Jira
- Proficiency in LucidChart
- Proven experience in Agile methodologies
- Experience in financial services, particularly banking, insurance, or payments advantageous
- Lean Six Sigma or similar certification advantageous
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- LLB Degree or Diploma in Law is an advantage but not required.
