Job & Company Description A well-established engineering solutions provider is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its footprint within the steam power generation, boiler systems, turbines, and industrial steam applications market . Based in Gauteng, this role offers exposure to high-value energy and industrial projects, working closely with technical and project teams to deliver tailored steam and power solutions. Education Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field Job Experience & Skills Required Minimum 5 years experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the steam power generation or steam equipment industry Proven exposure to boilers, turbines, steam systems, or thermal power plant equipment Strong understanding of steam processes and power generation environments Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities Experience preparing commercial proposals, tenders, and pricing models Excellent client engagement, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineering and technical teams Willingness to travel as required for client and project engagements Strong reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management capability Apply Now! Job Description

Minimum requirements: Proven experience in business development within the commercial/industrial Solar PV sector. Demonstrated success in securing large Solar PV projects (7MW). Strong technical understanding of solar engineering, feasibility, financial modelling, and energy yield. Excellent negotiation and high-value deal-closing skills. Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities. Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites. Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage with C-suite and executive-level stakeholders.  Duties will include but is not limited to: Lead business development initiatives for Solar PV projects 7MW. Identify, qualify, and secure new commercial and industrial clients. Develop and maintain relationships with developers, EPCs, consultants, and key industry stakeholders. Drive tender submissions, proposals, and commercial negotiations. Collaborate with the engineering, finance, and project teams on feasibility, design, and costing. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and trends. Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and partner engagements. Manage the full sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting reports. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Pretoria.
