About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, target-driven, and customer-focused New & Used Vehicle Sales Executive to join our busy dealerships. As the face of our brand, you will build lasting relationships with customers and ensure an exceptional purchasing experience while meeting ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets for new and used vehicles, gross profit, and finance & insurance (F&I) products.
- Actively prospect for new clients through cold calling, digital leads, networking, and referrals.
- Promptly follow up on all showroom, internet, and telephonic inquiries.
- Greet customers (walk-ins and appointments) and conduct a thorough needs analysis to understand their requirements, budget, and lifestyle.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of the full range of new and used vehicles, including features, benefits, specifications, and competitor models.
- Conduct professional vehicle demonstrations and accompany potential buyers on test drives, highlighting key features and benefits.
- Manage the vehicle appraisal process for trade-ins, working with the Used Vehicle Manager to establish fair market value.
- Structure and present sales proposals, negotiate terms, and effectively close deals while maintaining dealership profit margins.
- Work closely with the F&I Manager to present finance options and value-added products (e.g., warranties, service plans) to customers.
- Accurately complete all sales documentation, including Offers to Purchase (OTP), finance applications, and FICA/NCA compliance paperwork.
- Ensure a seamless and professional vehicle handover. Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals, maintaining a high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) score.
- Meticulously log all customer interactions and sales activities in the dealership’s CRM system (e.g., E-Dealer, LeadLocator).
Requirements
- Education: A valid Matric (Grade 12) Certificate.
- License: A valid, unendorsed South African Driver’s License (non-negotiable).
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of proven sales experience specifically within the motor retail industry (selling new or used vehicles) is essential.
