About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Clerk to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our contract management department, you will be responsible for administering contracts, managing bid/tender processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. If you have experience in supply chain management and are passionate about contract administration, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts in the department
  • Receive Bid/tender documents from the Division: Demand and Acquisition
  • Prepare contract forms and issue them to successful bidders
  • Prepare a service level agreement in conjunction with the client
  • Submit the SLA to the service provider for input and verification
  • Engage legal services to ensure a qualify SLA is submitted and signed off by both the client and the successful service provider
  • Attend to audit queries with regard to contract issues
  • Drafting internal memorandums, correspondence letters and facilitating the process of signing contracts
  • Maintain and update the contract management register and send expiry notifications of contracts
  • Update the spent contracts, maintain and update the lease register
  • Send contract performance report template to End Users quarterly and ensure compliance by end users

Requirements

  • Experience in supply chain management or a related field
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in document management systems (e.g. electronic contracts, records)
  • Basic knowledge of the General Conditions of Contract (GCC) issued by the National Treasury

  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • No formal education or certification required for this position
