Rustenburg: Accountant

Requirements: * A BCom degree in Accounting or Finance (SAIPA/SAICA) articles advantage * 3-5 years accounting working experience, ideally in mining, manufacturing or logistics * Knowledge SA tax and compliance framework * Strong Excel skills required Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Financial Accounting Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage accruals, prepayments and journal entries Reconcile bank and control accounts 2. Management Accounting Budget preparation and variance analysis Cash flow forecasting Cost tracking and analysis Assist in decision making with financial data 3. Bookkeeping Process daily transactions Maintain records of income and expenses Manager supplier and customer accounts (AP/AR) Prepare management accounts Manage accruals, prepayment and journal entries Reconcile bank and control accounts including supplier and payroll clearing 4. Tax and Compliance Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE and other statuary returns to SARS Ensure compliance with relevantly laws and financial regulations Liaise with external auditors and assist in audit preparation 5. ERP and Systems Use Comfortable with accounting software such as Zoho ERP, Sage, MS Dynamics 365 Generate reports and maintain data accuracy in ERP systems 6. Raising invoices, purchase orders or work orders working closely with commercial department Administer or assist with payroll processing Reconcile payroll accounts and statuary deductions Maintain accurate employee cost records
