Our Client in the Mining Industry is looking for an Underground Mine Manager to join their team in the North-West area.

Requirements:

Mining Engineering Degree ⁠Mine managers certificate of competence for metalliferous mines ⁠Underground blasting ticke t for metalliferous mines ⁠Mine Overseers certificate of competence ⁠Min 10 years` experience in narrow tabular underground mining. ⁠Willing to relocate to Rustenburg area ⁠Experience in conventional stope mining methods advantageous ⁠Experience in Chrome, Gold or Platinum mining advantageous ⁠Exposure to Chrome wash plants advantageous Duties and

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage underground mining operations , ensuring safety, efficiency, and production targets are met. Ensure compliance with MHSA regulations and DMRE requirements , promoting a strong safety culture. Lead and mentor teams, including Mine Overseers and Shift Supervisors , driving workforce performance and development. Implement and optimise narrow tabular mining methods and conventional stope mining techniques . Manage mine planning, production, and operational strategies to maximise resource extraction. Ensure effective blasting operations , ground support, and ventilation for safe underground mining. Oversee compliance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement with regulatory bodies and local communities. Advantageous: Experience in Chrome, Gold, or Platinum mining and exposure to Chrome wash plants . Willingness to relocate to Rustenburg and be based on-site for operational oversight.
