About the Role
Our financial services client is seeking an experienced Compliance Monitoring Officer to join their team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in compliance management, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the compliance framework, including policies, manuals, and templates.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and report on material compliance risks.
- Advise business units on compliance matters and assist in implementing compliant policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with service providers and auditors to oversee compliance controls and processes.
- Develop and update Compliance Risk Management Plans (CRMPs) in line with annual plans.
- Execute compliance reviews and monitoring activities according to the annual Risk and Compliance Coverage Plan.
- Report on non-compliance issues and compliance risk management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s / Post Graduate Diploma in Compliance Management, or Internal Auditing, or Risk Management or Legal Qualification.
- CPrac (SA) Compliance Practitioner designation from CISA.
- Certificate in Compliance Management.
- 5+ years experience as Compliance Monitoring Officer.
- 2+ years experience in Auditing.
- Relevant experience and working knowledge of compliance management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Post Graduate Diploma in Compliance Management, or Internal Auditing, or Risk Management or Legal Qualification.
