About the Role
The Junior HR Business Partner role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to join our team in Sandton, Johannesburg. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will provide support in various human resource functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support in recruitment, staffing, training and development
- Monitor employee performance and conduct counselling sessions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date job descriptions
- Identify training and development needs and organize staff training sessions
- Set up and provide HR Induction & EE training for new employees
- Manage leave administration using Sage Payroll system
- Ensure compliance with company leave policies and highlight absenteeism concerns
- Assist with recruitment and selection processes, including internal Internship programs
- Provide assistance to staff on queries around remuneration and benefits
- Maintain sound labour relations and fair employment practices
- Keep proper minutes of labour relations interventions
- Update Sage and HR reports on written/documented action taken
- Maintain personnel records, including electronic records
- Assist with annual personnel record audits
- Review current or new policies and procedures as required
- Manage the filing system for HR
- Handle non-perm contracts
- Assist with IOD claims
- Capture training data on Sage payroll system
Requirements
- Matric with a relevant HR degree/diploma or equivalent
- Proven track record in an HR environment (3 – 5 years)
- Valid driver’s license with own transport
- Reside in Johannesburg, preferably close to Modderfontein
- Union experience is an advantage
- Sage payroll experience and knowledge of automation tools (JotForm, ERP, CRM)
