About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team at Synergy Human Resources, specializing in the hotel industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial accounts of our clients and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Management Accounts
- Drafting Financial Statements
- Implementing financial controls on all assets, income streams, expenses
- Processing and calculation of month end journals
- All processing of the books up to Trial Balance
- Cashbooks management
- Debtors: Invoicing, statements, recons, credit
- Creditors: Batching supplier invoices, tracking discounts, suppliers recons
- Depreciation Journals
- Deferred Tax Review and submission
- VAT and payroll calculations
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Management of bank accounts
- Package profit reconciliation and allocation
Requirements
- B.Com Accounting degree
- Minimum of 2 years financial accounting experience within either the Hospitality (Hotel or Lodge), or Travel & Tourism industry
- Articles done with a reputable firm
- Experienced in Pastel
- Experienced in SARS and E-Filing
