Job Description
About the Role
Join Sasol’s Energy Operations team and take control of critical refinery processes as a Chemical Process Controller. You will operate complex plant systems and processes to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor plant process equipment and systems to meet production targets
- Lead by example and play a key role during emergency situations to restore normal operations
- Conduct on-the-job coaching and SME presentations on plant equipment
- Participate in risk assessments, root cause analyses, and IMS inspections
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and improve practices and equipment
- Provide feedback to supervisors and collaborate effectively across disciplines
- Participate in shift handovers, toolbox talks, and safety compliance activities
Requirements
- Matric with Maths & Science
- Occupational Trade Certificate (NQF4) — advantageous
- 2 years in a crude oil refining facility
- Declared competent as operator in a relevant process unit
