About the Role
As a Camp Manager at Wild Dreams Hospitality, you will be responsible for creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. This role requires a unique blend of leadership, communication, and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare personalized welcome and departure notes for each guest
- Manage daytime check-ins and oversee dietary preferences, children’s needs, and special requests
- Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Host guests throughout the day, including activity returns and mealtimes, while assisting with requests
- Ensure consistent quality of all guest-facing products and services
- Oversee and verify breakfast, lunch, and dinner setups
- Conduct room inspections prior to guest arrivals
- Coordinate guest delight initiatives to create memorable experiences
- Keep main guest areas tidy and styled in line with operational standards
- Collaborate with service teams to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations
- Support colleagues and departments as required to maintain high service standards
- Lead and plan engaging children’s activities with creativity and enthusiasm
- Provide exceptional, personalized hospitality throughout the guest stay
Requirements
- Experience as camp manager or safari host is essential
- A valid South African driver’s licence is essential (transport to/from leave cycles is the successful candidate’s own responsibility)
- Experience in the service industry and strong communication with guests and team members
- High personal standards and attention to detail
- Previous experience working with children a bonus
- Courteous, professional, and guest-focused
- Performs reliably under pressure and adapts to guest needs
- Capable team leader with a constructive approach to correction
- Honest, driven, and career-oriented with strong integrity
