About the Role
The Director of Finance will lead the financial strategy and pre-opening financial setup of a 132-room, internationally branded hotel. This role ensures strong governance, compliance, commercial insight, and financial discipline from pre-opening through stabilized operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-opening budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modeling
- Establish financial systems, controls, policies, and reporting structures aligned with brand and ownership requirements
- Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations, and CAPEX tracking during pre-opening
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and international brand standards
- Produce accurate monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
- Drive cost control, inventory management, and departmental financial accountability
- Partner closely with GM and Executive Committee on strategic decision-making
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years’ senior finance leadership in international branded hotels
- Strong pre-opening experience advantage
- Solid understanding of West African financial regulations
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/CA advantageous)
- Strong systems knowledge (hotel ERP, PMS, procurement systems)
- Fluent in French & English
