About the Role
A newly opening luxury safari lodge seeks an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead and manage the housekeeping department, ensuring immaculate guest rooms and public areas while upholding premium hospitality standards in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee housekeeping across rooms, public areas, and back-of-house
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards
- Manage budgets, stock control, and procurement
- Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff
- Conduct room inspections and quality audits
- Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene compliance
Requirements
- 35 years senior housekeeping experience (luxury lodge/hotel preferred)
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and quality control
- Knowledge of linen, chemicals, and equipment management
Qualifications
No formal education or certifications required.
Salary & Benefits
Salary R15 000 paid in Namibian Dollars / South African Rands. Live-in shared accommodation. Meals. Cost of work permits and visas if necessary (for expat applicants). Annual leave. Annual flights / passage home covered by the company.
