About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Field Guide / Anchor Couple to join our prestigious Luxury Game Reserve in the Free State. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to deliver unforgettable guest experiences while working in a unique and exciting safari environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct personalised game drives with a maximum of six guests per vehicle
  • Share in-depth wildlife knowledge and conservation insights with guests
  • Assist guests with photography during drives (camera settings, angles, lighting)
  • Support creation of photographic and video content for social media (optional)
  • Ensure the safety of guests and animals during all activities
  • Maintain and care for safari vehicles and equipment
  • Collaborate with lodge staff to provide exceptional guest service
  • Uphold the reserve’s standards of professionalism, safety, and sustainability

Requirements

  • CATHSSETA NQF2, FGASA, or equivalent qualification
  • Registered with the National Department of Tourism
  • Valid PDP licence
  • Valid First Aid certification
  • Extensive guiding experience, preferably on Big Five reserves
  • Strong energy, enthusiasm, and passion for wildlife and conservation

Salary & Benefits

  • Package Salary: R15,000 – R25,000 DOE (combined, live-in)
  • Accommodation: Live-in on the reserve
  • Stocked kitchen for guides’ use
