Mpumalanga: FMS Roaming Maintenance Technician

About the Role

The FMS Roaming Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our company’s equipment, providing technical support to customers, and collaborating with various teams to drive business success. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform fault diagnostics and error analysis
  • Install and commission products
  • Repair, remove, inspection, and servicing of company products
  • Ensure that the company equipment is in good working order and condition
  • Maintain and repair/install equipment according to OEM requirements and specifications
  • Compile a schedule for preventative maintenance on the fixed fuel management system
  • Assist with mini projects running in maintenance
  • Support and assist the Database Specialist with investigations and solutions as necessary
  • Perform administrative tasks such as keeping records of new installed equipment, maintaining vehicle logbooks, and updating technician onsite reports (TOS)
  • Keep track of stock and perform regular stock counts
  • Provide technical advice to customers on company products
  • Inform Customer representatives of obsolete or beyond-economical repair equipment
  • Support the Marketing effort of products to customers
  • Act as Site Manager
  • Comply with all Customers’ rules, regulations, and policies (health, safety, quality, environment)
  • Attend weekly/monthly safety meetings as required by the mine

Requirements

  • Technician knowledge of the product offering
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to make decisions independently and creatively
  • Strong good work ethics
  • Ability to interact with customers at all levels of the organization
  • Good command of English language
  • Electrical Trade test
  • Electro-mechanical or instrumentation experience required
  • Code 8 License

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roaming Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Tunney Ridge offices in Gauteng. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our mining clients across various sites.
