About the Role
The Financial Manager – Africa will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting business performance through insightful financial analysis. This role offers exposure to international best practices and high-performance teams, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a globally connected organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting , including management accounts, statutory reporting, and group reporting packs.
- Manage the financial close process , ensuring general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, and accurate reporting.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes , including variance analysis and financial performance tracking.
- Lead audit processes , ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee treasury and cash flow management , including forecasting, working capital, and FX exposure.
- Ensure tax compliance, company secretarial requirements, and adherence to internal governance frameworks .
- Lead and develop the finance team , including Accounts Payable and Treasury functions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives , enhancing systems, processes, and financial controls.
Requirements
- CA(SA) is essential
- 10+ years of experience in financial management within a multinational or professional services environment
- Experience in large, project-based environments and exposure to project accounting within the financial reporting process would be advantageous
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
