About the Role
Join Fetola and Make a Difference as a Financial Accountant. We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Financial Accountant who combines strong technical expertise with an analytical, problem-solving mindset. This individual is trusted, ownership-driven, and able to bring structure to complexity, while working effectively on multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Budget management for projects – Creating and monitoring the project budget
- Statutory Return submission – Submitting returns for entities
- Cost tracking – Recording expenses like
- Financial reporting – Preparing reports on profitability and performance
- Audit & Compliance – Lead financial audits and prepare working papers
- Billing and invoicing – Ensuring clients are billed correctly for work
- Variance analysis – Comparing actual costs vs. planned budget and explaining differences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Completed SAIPA/CIMA Articles non negotiable
- Min 5 years of accounting experience non negotiable
- Experience in project-based industries (construction, engineering, IT, consulting)
- Experience with consolidations
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Experience in managing team/ leading people
- Demonstrated numeric literacy, understanding & use of data analytics is essential.
- Excellent spoken, written and interpersonal communication.
- Confident, agile, ambitious, and forward thinking.
- Comfort with technology and innovation is essential
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
