About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join our charming 40-bedroom boutique hotel based on the KZN South Coast (Southbroom area). As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our F&B department and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. If you have a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing successful F&B operations, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management (Training, Performance & Appraisals, Client Service, Policies & Procedures, SOPs)
  • Development & Implementation of Food & Beverage Procedures
  • Achieving targets through effective management and control
  • Equipment and Stock control
  • Design; Implement and Manage Shift Schedules for staff
  • Establishing Food & Beverage budgets and financial goals
  • Monitoring operations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene industry standards
  • Responding to client inquiries and/or complaints
  • Developing & Implementing marketing strategies
  • Managing shift work

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Tertiary qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in managing a fully operational F&B department in a 4 I 5* hotel environment with a staff complement of at least 70
  • Good command of the English language
  • Strong Financial Understanding
  • Advanced understanding of cost of sales & profit margins
  • Working knowledge of stock controls
  • Banqueting & Conferencing Experience multiple venues
  • Excellent Attention to detail awareness
  • Ability to organize and run promotions and events
  • Good Computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Advanced knowledge of POS, Stock & PMS systems (EasiPos and Procure would be beneficial)
