About the Role

E-Merge, a prominent investment management company focused on insurance solutions, is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to strengthen its IT Solutions team. This position will involve architecting, developing, and enhancing enterprise-level BI systems, converting complex business needs into efficient data models and scalable reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and support junior team members in BI development and best practices.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust BI solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and optimize data models, data warehouses, and reporting frameworks.
  • Develop and manage ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Integrate data from multiple systems while maintaining data consistency and accuracy.
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Monitor and improve data quality, integrity, and performance across BI systems.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within data workflows.
  • Troubleshoot BI issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a BI Analyst Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Power BI or Qlik.
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong database querying ability.
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, SSIS, and Power BI.
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Talend, or Qlik.
  • Experience working in the financial or asset management sectors.
