Job Description

Luxury 5* Game Reserve based in the Kalahari; Northern Cape is looking for a Head of Maintenance. We are looking for a candidate that is trade qualified in Electrical to lead the preservation; repair; and optimisation of world-class safari assets before nature reclaims them. Duties: Leading all electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure maintenance across camp andoperational facilities Preventative maintenance planning in extreme environmental conditions Managing generators, solar systems, water systems, HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment Ensuring safety compliance and electrical standards are non-negotiable Building and mentoring a high-performing technical team Protecting luxury assets in one of Africas most remote wilderness environments Requirements: Qualified Electrician (Trade Test certified) At least 5+ years experience in a large lodge / reserve environment Strong experience in hospitality, remote sites, or large-scale facilities Generator and solar expertise (advantageous) Borehole abstraction & monitoring sustainable extraction aligned with environmental regulations Water treatment systems filtration, chlorination, reverse osmosis where required Storage infrastructure tanks, pressure systems, backup reserves Hands-on leadership style Solutions-driven mindset Calm under pressure when systems fail and guests are watching On offer: R55K (Neg) DOE Live-in position based on the game reserve Free Water & Electricity Free clinic with primary health care Doctor, Dentist and Optometrist Medical Aid is 50% company contribution Pension is 50% company contribution Free Uniform Winter and Summer Free Flights to JHB and CT dependant on an availability A dynamic leadership role in a vibrant and unique environment.
