About the Role
Manpower Group is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team in Kenya. As an HR Generalist Service Delivery, you will deliver comprehensive HR services across assigned Marketing & Functions in Kenya, acting as a proactive partner for leadership teams and ensuring high levels of service excellence and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive HR generalist services across assigned Marketing & Functions in Kenya
- Act as a proactive partner for leadership teams, ensuring high levels of service excellence and support
- Advise managers on HR practices, policies, and procedures to strengthen business partnering
- Assist in embedding HR common platforms and best practices across the organisation
- Provide oversight of IR and ER matters, ensuring compliance and fair labour practices
- Manage disciplinary hearings and ensure procedural fairness throughout all processes
- Liaise with trade unions and employee representatives to foster effective relationships
- Ensure all ER matters are handled in accordance with Kenyan labour legislation
- Support career development, talent management, and succession planning processes
- Facilitate performance management processes across all levels
- Conduct skills and capability gap analysis and support appropriate interventions
- Manage recruitment, placement, and organisational development needs
- Drive diversity, transformation, and employment equity initiatives
- Lead change management activities to drive sustainable transformation
- Support the implementation of Employee Wellbeing programmes
- Drive employee engagement through EVP (Employee Value Proposition) initiatives
- Coordinate remuneration processes including grading, salary reviews, and promotions ensuring compliance with company policies
- Ensure accurate SAP data uploads and maintenance
- Ensure all HR processes comply with local labour legislation and company governance requirements
- Participate in HR projects impacting assigned function/market
- Review HR policies and recommend improvements to support the “Best Employer” journey
- Lead and support organisational change initiatives
- Partner with regional and global HR teams on strategic initiatives
Requirements
- HR degree or equivalent (Essential)
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in HR with comprehensive exposure to:
- Resourcing and talent acquisition
- Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER)
- Organisational development
- HR service delivery
- Remuneration and benefits administration
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation and employment law (Essential)
- Experience working in multinational or FMCG environments (highly advantageous)
Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and contemporary HR trends
- HR business partnering expertise – strategic and operational
- Deep understanding of Kenyan and SSA labour legislation and regulatory requirements
- Performance management processes and frameworks
- Talent management and succession planning methodologies
- Remuneration principles including job grading, salary benchmarking, and reward frameworks
- SAP HR or similar HRIS systems experience (advantageous)
- Employment equity and diversity principles and compliance
