What you’ll do: The Intermediate Business Analyst (BA will elicit, facilitate, synthesise, and present technical solutions. The candidate will use business requirements to drive the design or review of products, test cases, business process design and define a project’s vision, scope, acceptance, and implementation. The successful candidate will form part of the IT team and report to the Software Product Manager. Our ideal candidate can work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into usable information, which will help to improve systems and processes. Consult various customers (internal and external) to understand their value chain, structure, functions, and products and/or services. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers. Challenge the business in their thinking, especially to understand the intent of the business requirement. With little supervision, elicit, gather, analyse, document, validate and communicate business requirements (Agile and Waterfall Formats) Estimate total project duration based on experience. Working closely with Product and Business Owners, work stream Managers and stakeholders in identifying. and managing dependencies. Perform Process Reengineering of customer processes. Facilitate JAD Sessions. User Acceptance Testing – Assist in testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) Your expertise: Minimum of 5 years’ previous experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Intermediate Business Analyst Agile Software development Projects. Skills and knowledge: Demonstrated ability to communicate in both verbal and written communication. Logical reasoning and problem solving. Customer focused approach to work. Strong communication skills. Stakeholder Management Strong presentations skills / Power Point presentations. Project Management skills Cognitive: Analytical and methodical – logical thinker Abstract Thinker – Translates vague or incomplete ideas into structured requirements. System Thinker – Recognizes dependencies between systems, processes, and stakeholders Able to work with high attention to detail Delivery-oriented self-starter Problem solver and innovative in a structured manner Structured worker and effective administrator Strong organizational and general management abilities Qualifications required: Relevant tertiary qualification/Informatics degree. Desirable: Post Graduate Degree / Honours Degree / Business Analyst Diploma, BABOK Certification, Agile Certification Business Analyst experience in the Retail Industry (Advantageous).
