About the Role
AtripleA Recruitment and Temps is seeking a highly skilled Junior Legal Counsel (Engineering) to join our client in the Construction and Engineering industry. As a key member of the legal team, you will provide general legal advice, draft and vet contracts, and ensure that RHDHV’s legal risks are minimized. Key Responsibilities
- Provision of general legal advice
- Drafting and vetting of contracts
- Assess and advise on the potential impact of contracts
- Ensure that RHDHV’s legal risks in contracts are minimized
- Review of contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies
- Drafting, analyses, and negotiating contracts
- Assist internal teams in interpretation of contract terms and conditions
- Provide litigation support with representing attorneys to ensure correct representation
- Assist with legal research as and when required and monthly reporting
Requirements
- B degree in Law (LLB)
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court / Advocate is a prerequisite
- 1-2 years post Admission required
- Good understanding of Contract law and corporate governance
- Excellent proficiency in the English Language
- Strong drafting skills with excellent attention to detail and risk awareness
- Clear knowledge of the legislative and regulatory process in South Africa
Qualifications
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court / Advocate
Salary & Benefits
R 300 000 to R 360 000 per annum.
