Job Description
Core Criteria:
- A Certificate in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Valid Drivers’ and PRDP Licence
- Electrical or mechanical skills
- Must be proactive.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Be investigative and curious.
- Have strong analytical skills
Key responsibilities:
- You will assist in all the maintenance at your Lodge – including plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and air conditioning, building, carpentry and general maintenance.
- Solar and Hot Water
- Water Treatment and Sewerage
- All routine and preventative maintenance
- Generator Maintenance
- Project management and managing large teams
- Regular tests of water and recording water levels
- Advice on any upgrade needed for any equipment in the Lodge.
- Managing and setting up water and power budgets/costs for the Lodge.
- Maintaining and accepting responsibility for all equipment
- Fitting your work hours around guest hours to ensure guests are not disturbed unnecessarily.
- Form and maintain relationships with external suppliers and contractors
- Responsible for all maintenance projects in camp
- Implement preventative maintenance measures.
