About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the infrastructure of our luxury island escape, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and air conditioning, building, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Manage solar and hot water systems.
- Oversee water treatment and sewerage systems.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain generator equipment and manage large teams for project management.
- Conduct regular tests of water levels and record findings.
- Provide advice on equipment upgrades and maintain budgets/costs for the Lodge.
- Accept responsibility for all equipment and ensure its proper maintenance.
- Fit work hours around guest hours to minimize disturbances.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external suppliers and contractors.
- Supervise maintenance projects in camp and implement preventative measures.
Requirements
- A Certificate in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Valid Drivers’ and PRDP Licence
- Electrical or mechanical skills
- Proactive approach to work
- Ability to work under pressure
- Investigative and curious nature
- Strong analytical skills
