About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team in Luaxe, Angola. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing maintenance activities to ensure optimal production levels and minimize downtime. With a strong background in mining experience as a maintenance planner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our diamond plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement maintenance strategies and develop maintenance procedures
- Conduct preventative/proactive maintenance planning
- Coordinate root cause analysis
- Assist Maintenance supervisors with technical problems
- Analyse spare parts inventory requirements and continuously improve inventory control
- Compile periodic reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually) to ensure Management has up-to-date information for decision making
Requirements
- Minimum: Grade 12
- Ideally, a Trade Test Code 08
- Minimum: 3 years of mining experience as a maintenance planner (diamond plant)
- Desired: 6 years of mining experience as a maintenance planner (diamond plant)
Qualifications
- Knowledge of diamond plants, DMS, and Recovery circuits
- Understanding and applying maintenance planning best practices
- Auditing skills
- In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mining and processing sector
- Knowledge of engineering standards
