About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our business development department, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the clearing and forwarding sector. With a strong understanding of import, export, customs clearance, and logistics services, you will drive revenue growth and contribute to the company’s expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the clearing and forwarding sector
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and needs analysis
  • Prepare and present tailored logistics solutions, quotes, and proposals
  • Negotiate rates and service agreements in line with company margins
  • Work closely with operations to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and reporting
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and industry developments

Requirements

  • 5–6 years’ proven experience in new business sales within clearing and forwarding / freight forwarding
  • Strong understanding of import, export, customs clearance, and logistics services
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent)
