About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Company Secretary to join our team. As a trusted partner to our Director, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and strategic growth across the business. With a strong background in operations, business management, or executive support, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on operational and strategic matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner to the Director on operational and strategic matters
- Assist in developing and implementing business strategy and operational plans
- Prepare executive reports, presentations, and business insights
- Monitor business performance and identify areas for improvement
- Manage key strategic projects and initiatives
- Manage property leases, renewals, queries etc.
- Monitor insurance requirements and yearly updates
- Oversee day-to-day business operations across departments
- Implement and improve operational processes and systems
- Monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and operational efficiency
- Manage cross-functional projects and business improvements
- Ensure operational alignment with business objectives
- Manage company compliance, governance, and statutory requirements
- Coordinate board meetings, agendas, and board packs
- Maintain corporate records and legal documentation
- Assist with risk management and policy implementation
- Liaise with external stakeholders (auditors, legal advisors, consultants)
- Support and guide administrative and operational staff
- Assist with team structure, processes, and performance management
- Foster a culture of accountability and efficiency
- Drive operational excellence across the business
- Manage spreadsheet assisting with forecasting, and cost management
- Review operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
Requirements
- Matric
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or related field
- 5 years experience in operations, business management, or executive support
- Strong business acumen and operational management experience
- Experience working closely with senior leadership or directors
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
