About the Role
The Quality Control Supervisor is a key position in our Chemicals Manufacturing site in Boksburg North, responsible for planning and directing activities related to quality standards for processes, materials, and products. This role manages all employees of the Quality Control laboratory and is responsible for performance management within that department.
Key Responsibilities
• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Assists the R&D Manager in developing and maintaining the ISO9001 procedures and work instructions for the QC laboratory.
• Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
• Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
• Assists the R&D manager in maintaining the calibration requirements of the QC laboratory.
• Suggests and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of the QC laboratory.
• Analyses and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Interfaces with other Departments to develop and implement training programs as required.
• Confers with workers’ representatives and Human Resources to resolve grievances.
• Comply with SHE of the organization and ensure good housekeeping practices.

Qualifications
Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, SAPMA Modules, 5 years’ experience in R&D or quality environment.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R180 000 per annum (negotiable)
