Join our Corporate Actuarial team responsible for reserving and capital analytics for South Africa and Botswana.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
• Extract, collate, and transform data.
• Prepare quarterly reserve and profitability review reports.
• Support finance and other business functions.
• Extract, collate, and transform data.
• Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory returns.
• Help compile the company’s Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA).
• Participate in calculating Solvency Capital Requirement and reviewing Asset-Liability Management.
• Prepare and present results to the Capital Forum.
• Contribute analyses as part of the annual planning cycle.
• Support annual reinsurance programme renewal.
• Work within IFRS17 requirements.
Qualifications, Experience, and Behaviours
• University degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
• Significant progress towards qualifying as an actuary.
• Proficiency in English.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• At least five years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to extract and summarise data.
• Experienced with reserving and capital modelling software.
• Deliver work within corporate reporting timelines.
• Energetic problem solver.
• Professional and disciplined.
• Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
