About the Role
E-Merge, an established global IoT SaaS business, is expanding its Cape Town engineering hub and seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to help shape and scale a multi-tenant cloud platform used internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend systems using C# / .NET / ASP.NET Core Web APIs
- Implement RESTful API design and lifecycle management
- Develop strong SQL skills, including query tuning and indexing, or NoSQL experience
- Work with modular monolith and/or microservices architectures
- Manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including multi-tenancy, scaling, and high availability
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Bicep) for automated deployment
- Set up CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience in production environments
- Strong backend focus with a preference for C# / .NET / ASP.NET Core Web APIs
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and lifecycle management
- Strong SQL skills, including query tuning and indexing, or NoSQL experience
- Experience with modular monolith and/or microservices architectures
- Azure cloud experience, including multi-tenancy, scaling, high availability
- Infrastructure as Code (Bicep) experience
- CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Qualifications
- Formal education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Bachelor’s degree)
Salary & Benefits
- Up to R1.5M per annum, depending on experience
