About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at E-Merge. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a crucial role in protecting systems, detecting threats, and strengthening our overall cybersecurity posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enhance DevSecOps practices
- Perform proactive threat hunting and vulnerability identification
- Administer and manage Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory
- Oversee endpoint security using Microsoft Intune
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and potential threats
- Lead and support security incident response and management
- Deliver security awareness training across the organization
- Collaborate with third-party vendors on security solutions
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field
- Solid understanding of networking, systems, and security protocols
- Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is an advantage
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and respond to urgent issues after hours
Salary & Benefits
R1.6m pa (cost-to-company salary), negotiable on experience and ability.
