About the Role

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in developing and growing new and existing accounts, meeting agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and generating revenue to support the establishment and expansion of our South African lubrication testing laboratory. You will also be responsible for assisting in the setup, development, and technical leadership of our lubrication analysis lab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow new and existing accounts
  • Meet agreed KPIs
  • Generate revenue to support laboratory expansion
  • Assist in the setup, development, and technical leadership of the lubrication analysis lab
  • Conduct site visits and engage with Engineers, site foremen, maintenance, and reliability teams
  • Develop new business opportunities in Mining Operations, Cement and Brick Manufacturing, large industrial, and processing facilities
  • Present technical value propositions focused on Equipment reliability, reduced downtime, lubricant optimization, and waste reduction
  • Maintain accurate reporting on Sales activity, pipeline, forecasting, customer feedback, and site observations
  • Work closely with internal technical and support teams to ensure successful implementation and follow-up
  • Represent the company professionally at client meetings

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Tertiary education (Engineering, Technical, or Commercial discipline)
  • Lubrication-related training or certifications
  • Practical exposure to one or more of the following environments: Engineering roles on mines or large industrial sites, site foreman or supervisory experience in industrial operations, lubrication engineers or lubrication-focused technical role

Qualifications

  • Tertiary education (Engineering, Technical, or Commercial discipline)
  • Lubrication-related training or certifications (e.g. MLA – Machinery Lubrication Analyst)
  • Formal sales training within a technical or industrial environment
  • Strong technical capability and confidence on site
  • Ability to translate technical issues into commercial value

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Representative to support our decking division with technical sales assistance, customer engagement, and slab layout advice.   • Prepare and follow up on quotations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and retail clients.

  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Provide basic technical advice on slab systems and installation requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Division Manager on project planning and technical queries.
