About the Role
Our client specialises in flow control solutions, and we are seeking a highly skilled Applications / Internal Sales Support Engineer – Valves to join our team. As a key member of our sales support team, you will provide best technical advice to customers, develop, sell, and successfully implement product or service solutions that meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide best technical advice to the sales team and customers to develop, sell, and successfully implement product or service solutions that will meet the customers’ needs.
- Understand and interpret customer specifications and prepare techno-commercial quotations and meet customer requirements, expectations, and delivery times.
- Timely response to customer enquiries and clarification post offer submission.
- Support sales, distributors, and channel partners in managing complaints and issues regarding customer orders, liaising where necessary with sales, service, finance, and operations to solve order issues.
- Liaise with product management to ensure that products and services are modified, configured, and offered according to customer needs.
- Processing orders, handle post-order activities as drawings, quality plans, and help the support function for smooth execution and invoicing of the order.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in industrial valves sizing & selection of on-off & control valves
- Be fully competent in sizing and selection of control & on-off valves for various customers, by means of doing a minimum number of sizing calculations with quotations
- Learn and be fully competent with local legislations in terms of quotes, orders, and deliveries within the responsible countries in Sub-Equatorial Africa
