About the Role
A luxury 5-star property in the Winelands is seeking a professional and service-driven Waiter to deliver an exceptional dining experience to guests. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who understands refined service standards, attention to detail, and the importance of personalised guest interaction in a high-end dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional à la carte service to guests
- Present menus, explain dishes, and offer informed recommendations
- Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area
- Handle guest requests, preferences, and concerns with professionalism
- Ensure service standards and presentation guidelines are upheld
- Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with setting up and closing down the restaurant
Requirements
- Minimum 23 years experience as a Waiter in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurants
- Strong understanding of fine dining service procedures
- Good food and beverage knowledge, including wine service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
South African citizenship (non-negotiable)
