Job Description

About the Role

A well-established and innovative Software Solutions company in Pretoria East is seeking a Junior Web Developer to join their team. As a Junior Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality web applications using Best Coding Practices and Standards. You will work on various projects, collaborating with the team to deliver results-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using HTML 5 & CSS 3, PHP, jQuery & AJAX, and WordPress Plugin Development
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing web applications
  • Create professional Software Specification Documents

Requirements

  • Good understanding of Best Coding Practices and Standards
  • Proficiency in HTML 5 & CSS 3, PHP, jQuery & AJAX, and MySQL Databases
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (Re-usable code snippets / plugins / modules)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (if applicable)
  • Matric certificate

Salary & Benefits

R10 000.00 to R15 000.00 per month

Job Description

About the Role

Our client, AtripleA Recruitment and Temps, is seeking a qualified Web Developer to join their team in Pretoria East. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing dynamic and interactive E-Business systems within an open source environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop implement, test, maintain and enhance dynamic and interactive E-Business systems within an open source environment (PHP, MYSQL, Java Script, HTML etc according to applicable legislation and standards.
  • Upgrade existing applications, components, and E-Commerce systems in order to continuously align them with new technology.
  • Document the web application development process, and draw, implement and maintain a complete and through documentation for all back-end systems.
  • Implement user-friendly interfaces for the website and enhance the user experience (UX) of all E-Commerce systems.
  • Improve the site for search engine optimisation and increase online rating.
  • Address technical queries from public and provide support to website users.
  • Serve as a contingency for Senior Web Developer on the implementation of technical applications.

Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 3 to 6 years Web development using open source technologies based on Linux, PHP (SOAP & AJAX), MySQL, etc.
  • Knowledge of latest web development trends and technologies.
  • Programming methods, procedures and standards.
  • Network and operating system infrastructure
  • Database design and administration.
  • Code repository systems.
  • Graphic design.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislations.
  • System administration.
  • Project Management.
  • Communication (written and verbal).

Qualifications

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
