Job Description
Our client, a well-established organisation operating within a multi-company environment, is seeking to employ a disciplined and detail-driven Bookkeeper to join their finance team based in St Francis Bay, Eastern Cape.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years bookkeeping experience
- Relevant qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping advantageous
- Experience on Pastel or similar accounting system
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience in a multi-company environment advantageous
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Bookkeeping and Financial Control
- Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
- Maintain accurate general ledger, creditors, and debtors
- Oversee and control the creditors function
- Review payroll outputs and ensure accurate and timeous payments
Reporting and Cashflow Management
- Prepare monthly management reports and variance analysis
- Prepare bi monthly cashflow reports
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts
Compliance and Audit Support
- Submit VAT, PAYE, and statutory returns accurately and on time
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and audit packs
Asset and Financial Administration
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register
- Support the Financial Manager with reporting and ad hoc finance requirements
