About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Junior Wedding & Events Planner to join our team in Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for planning and executing weddings, corporate events, and private functions, working closely with clients to deliver exceptional experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership in planning weddings, corporate events and private functions
- Work alongside the Events Coordinator and hand over detailed function sheet
- Prepare quotes, event schedules and detailed function sheets
- Communicate with décor suppliers, florists, caterers and other vendors
- Assist with on-site coordination during setup, execution and breakdown of events
- Track budgets and assist with cost control and invoicing preparation
- Handle client queries professionally and timeously
- Maintain accurate event files, checklists and timelines
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) or similar
- Relevant qualification in events management or similar, advantageous
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication in English, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and a creative mindset
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport
- Previous experience in events
