About the Role
The Ugie Quality Control & Nursery Manager will oversee the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to production targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and management, with experience working in a remote, farm-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep thorough records of all nursery operations and production results.
- Plan and oversee the propagation, planting, and maintenance of Spekboom and other indigenous species.
- Manage the nursery team, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to production targets.
- Report progress, difficulties, and suggestions for improvement on a regular basis to management.
- Develop and implement quality control measures for all planting and nursery activities
- Maintain optimal growing conditions, including irrigation, pest control, and soil management.
- Train and mentor nursery staff on propagation techniques and quality standards.
