About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a Data Operations Analyst to own the ingestion, processing, validation, and quality management of business-critical data for our modern Microsoft Azure data infrastructure. This role sits at the core of the data ecosystem, working closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect data from multiple internal and external sources (files, APIs, system exports, and manual submissions)
- Prepare, process, and ingest data into SQL-based databases
- Cleanse, standardise, and transform raw data into structured formats
- Map data to existing schemas and business definitions
- Apply business rules and transformation logic consistently
- Validate data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness
- Identify and resolve data quality issues at source
- Implement validation checks and reconciliation processes
- Support migration of data workflows to Microsoft Azure
- Work directly with SQL databases for querying, validation, and maintenance
- Maintain documentation, data mappings, and data dictionaries
- Support automation initiatives and process improvement
- Provide trusted datasets for reporting, dashboards, and analytics teams
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Maths, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years’ experience in data operations, data analytics, systems support, business intelligence, or data support roles.
- Core Skills:
- Strong SQL skills (queries, joins, validation, and reconciliation).
- Data cleansing, transformation, and visualization.
- Experience working with raw, messy, or unstructured data.
- Familiarity with ETL / ELT processes and data pipelines.
- Advanced Excel (Power Query experience advantageous).
