About the Role
As a Fitter at Communicate Finance in the Western Cape, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing equipment faults while driving operational improvements. You will be responsible for conducting inspections to prevent downtime and ensuring prompt fault resolution, as well as completing job cards and scheduled maintenance accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair equipment faults while driving operational improvements
- Conduct inspections to prevent downtime and ensure prompt fault resolution
- Complete job cards and scheduled maintenance accurately
- Utilize systems like Pragma, ISO9001, NOS, and WCM to maintain standards
- Support equipment installations, modifications, and repairs
- Ensure safety compliance, maintain procedures, and uphold housekeeping standards
- Train and guide team members while ensuring quality work
- Assist with machine setups, programming, and be available for shifts, overtime, and callouts
Requirements
- 3-5 years working experience in a manufacturing factory plant environment
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills
- Team player with good communication abilities
- Brush filling experiencing is advantageous
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Focused on continuous improvement and plant safety
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
- Good time management and punctuality
Qualifications
- Matric
- Trade tested N3 fitter or fitter-and-turner certification
